The 67th Annual Grammy Awards

On February 2nd, 2025, the 67th Annual Grammy Awards were held in LA, and naturally, we had to take a closer look at what some of our favorite celebs were wearing on the red carpet. With a stellar array of designer statements on display from the music industry’s elite, the five key styles that jumped out to us here at Club L came from Olivia Rodrgio, Taylor Swift, Chrissy Teigen, Sabrina Carpenter and Kelsea Ballerini. As always, we’ve scoured through our own pieces to show you how to get the look of each artist’s unique and elevated style, so you can upgrade your occasionwear closet today.

OLIVIA RODRIGO

Capturing the attention of us all instantly in her archive piece from Versace was the ‘good 4 u’ star, Olivia Rodrigo. Balancing a bold sense of edge and elegance with her backless black floor-sweeping gown, the American singer-songwriter showcased a sleek silhouette with contemporary cutout details and a daringly good halterneck maxi. As it claimed to be her most dramatic red carpet look to date, the dress still highlighted her playful yet sophisticated aesthetic, which we just know you all want a piece of. Her choice portrayed her keen eye for fashion perfectly, defying classic design traits with a modern flair.

TAYLOR SWIFT

Following Rodrigo, the Grammy nominee Taylor Swift made her striking appearance impactful and clear with a custom, glimmering red mini dress from Vivienne Westwood, as per her 2021 album’s namesake. Doing things her way, the singer wore a beaded garter beneath the dress with a small ’T’ embellishment as an ode to either Taylor or her beau, Travis Kelce. The look was not only bold but the utmost glamorous on the scene, reflecting Swift’s ever-evolving style and ‘reputation’. She’s never been one to miss stealing a moment on the carpet, and this definitely was no miss. With classical punk notions from Westwood that featured an asymmetric skirt, one-shoulder strap and tailored corset bodice, the style perfectly matched with Swfit’s dynamic music industry presence and ability to turn up the heat each year.

CHRISSY TEIGEN

Picked from Christian Siriano’s spring 2025 ready-to-wear collection, model Chrissy Teigen spun heads as she stepped out in a spectacular sheer black gown with husband John Legend. Made from a sculptural corseted bodice and exposed boning detail, the ensemble was a testament to Teigen’s signature style as she stunned the rest of us at home. Curated by stylist Alana Van Deraa, the mermaid dress with its voluminous skirt was accessorised with black statement earrings and a pair of sandal heels to keep her look focused and minimal. With the best of modern design elements and classic glamor, Teigen once again solidified her status as a red carpet icon, and we can’t wait to see what else she does.

SABRINA CARPENTER

The name on everybody’s lips this year is up next – Sabrina Carpenter. As she graced the event, entering in a feathered powder blue gown by JW Anderson, the ‘Taste’ left in our mouth was nothing short of sweet. The delicate detailing added a whimsical touch to the carpet that we’ve grown to love Carpenter for and demonstrated a desire to play to her strengths by keeping things playful and elegant. With a backless silhouette enhanced by free-falling pearls, her look screamed vintage-realness and showgirl-ready. Her harmonious blend of it all captured the attention of not only us fashion enthusiasts but the world, for she took away two awards last night in the Best Pop Solo Performance and Best Pop Vocal Album categories. She may have set the record high on the carpet, but now her music is one to beat as well.

KELSEA BALLERINI

Finally, the last look on our list came from country singer Kelsea Ballerini, as she arrived in a full getup from Tamara Ralph’s fall 2024 couture collection, featuring a plunge neck LBD and a white floor-length satin shawl. Styled by the infamous duo Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn, Ballerini’s style gave us a contemporary and chic vibe that was dressed up by diamond-encrusted accessories and black pumps. The jaw-dropping mini-dress radiated before the camera flashes of the carpet as each panel is embellished with long glass beads – the ultimate price of sophistication. Her choice of attire displayed her nuanced understanding of award-show fashion with ease and effortlessly delivered a seamless look.
