The Devil is back

It's been 20 loooooong years but the wait is finally over. The Devil Wears Prada 2 is hitting cinemas on 1st May, which is of course, the same weekend as the Met Gala, which feels perfectly suited for the sequel to a film that captivated fashion lovers around the world when it debuted in 2006.

Runway to Real-life

Thanks to the drip feeding of filming captured on the streets of Manhattan and the mammoth press junket the film’s stars Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway have embarked upon, we are already salivating over the Devil Wears Prada 2 fashion and making a mental note of all the movie looks we want to replicate.

Power Dressing for 2026

The most exciting part of the new movie's wardrobe is how easily we can replicate the looks for ourselves, the main characters, as if they need an introduction, power dressing Miranda Priestly and her one-time protege Andy Sachs, who has come a long way from lumpy jumpers, they might be wearing high-end luxury, but the styling can be easily translated.

Shop the Scene

Kicking off the press tour in Mexico City, the themes were clear, Red, the colour of power and independence featured heavily, and no wonder for event dressing there is no bigger statement. Red Dresses full-length, mini, column shape dresses, are all runway-inspired, as are pussy-bows, strapless dresses and strong shoulders.

The modern minimalist

Another Devil Wears Prada 2 power play is monochrome, the contrast being most impactful when worn as sharp tailoring, while skirts are back for 2026, long pencil skirts and full styles have the RUNWAY seal of approval. When styling black & white in real life choose simple silhouettes for maximum elegance, recreate the movie drama for yourself in Aetheria and Iveta and never ever forget the power of a little black dress black dresses

The Devil is in the details

Paparazzi photographs of the cast filming scenes were captured at Milan Fashion week, it's here that the outfits got interesting and more editorial, the costume designer experimented with silhouettes and hemlines, textured fabrics and fashion forward pieces with more movement, you can have your own fun in structured mini dresses, cape back dresses and sculptured corset dresses with bold hemlines, this is A-list celebrity inspired occasion wear.

That's all!

While we wait with bated breath as the release date draws closer, all that remains is to pick over the official trailer, gathering snippets of the delicious looks still to come, the statement pieces, minimalist luxury and a feminine take on power dressing but for now…that’s all!
